Your property is eligible if it has: • An installation capacity of up to 45kWth; • A current Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), with no outstanding recommendations for loft or cavity wall insulation. All the low income households, already receiving the following benefits, are eligible: • Child Benefit • Child Tax Credit • Employment & Support Allowance • Housing Benefit • Income Support • Job Seekers Allowance • Pension Credit – Guarantee • Pension Credit – Savings • Universal Credit • Working Tax Credit However, the properties that don’t qualify for the Government Heat Pump Grant are: • Social housing Properties; • Certain New Build Properties; & • Properties that have already received Government Funding or Support for a heat pump or biomass boiler. To be eligible for grant, your new heating system must meet the following criteria: • It should have been installed and fully checked by your installer on or after April 1, 2022; • It must have the potential to meet the full heating requirements of your property, including both, space and water heating; • It should have been installed as a replacement for an existing fossil fuel heating system, like Oil, Gas or Electric; • It should meet the minimum efficiency requirements, which can be understood with the help of your installer.
